dear zachary

Please see this film. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I picked up this documentary with an interesting cover at the library. It's an amazing little film -- about a man who was murdered and all the people who loved him. I'm still crying.

You can read up on it at DearZachary.com

My brother (Zachary) was telling me about this film just a couple of days ago. He was as moved as you. I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be strong enough to sit through it.

It's such a horrible story about really bad things happening to really good people. The irony is that Zachary's grandparents had reason to want to murder and yet they directed their energy in a positive way where Zachary's mother used it in a destructive manner. This is something that they couldn't prove to the courts until it was too late.

Urgh. I woke up thinking about it this morning. I don't know why I didn't hear about this story in the media in America... it's been produced by MSNBC but I don't recall ever seeing this story reported anywhere. Maybe they thought it was too horrible to put in front of people -- but really, when you see the movie, even though it's about this awful "thing," the real message is about love.

It's so good and Mary, you are a mother, you are a STRONG WOMAN.
